Daniel Craig Wanted for 5 More James Bond Movies Making Him Longest Serving 007

The currently in production Skyfall marks Daniel Craig’s third turn as James Bond in a 007 adventure. It has been announced today that the actor is wanted for five more James Bond movies.
This multi-million dollar deal will put Daniel Craig at eight James Bond movies altogether, making him the longest serving 007 in the franchise’s history.Roger Moore has seven Bond adventures under his belt, not counting his appearance in The Cannonball Run, where he plays a spoof of the character going unnamed.
Skyfall producer Michael G. Wilson had this to say.
Filming (on Skyfall) has gone very well so far and I’d love Daniel to surpassRoger’s record and do eight pictures. Daniel’s been an absolute pleasure to be around because he takes the role so seriously.
There’s really no one more passionate about making these films work than him…He’s a filmmaker’s dream. A lot of people have said Daniel’s been their favorite Bond since Sean Connery and I can’t argue with them. He’s doing a great job.”
Casino Royale, which marked Daniel Craig’s first turn as James Bond, stands as the most profitable entry in the twenty-three film franchise. Michael G. Wilson continued to talk about the latest one, Skyfall, comparing it to what Sean Connery did in the 60s.
Michael G. Wilson reveals that there is a plan to get all six James Bonds together for a special retrospective timed to the release of Skyfall. Those actors include Sean Connery,George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig. David Niven, who played 007 in the original 1967 Casino Royale, passed away in 1983.
Skyfall comes to theaters November 9th, 2012 and stars Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Judi Dench, Simon Russell Beale, Rhys Ifans, Helen McCrory. The film is directed by Sam Mendes.
