Christian Bale Circles The Creed of Violence

Christian Bale is in talks to star in The Creed of Violence for Universal Pictures and writer-director Todd Field (In the Bedroom).
The story is adapted from Boston Teran’s novel, set during the 1910 Mexican Revolution. The plot follows Rawbone, a two-bit assassin, and John Lourdes, a Bureau of Investigation officer, who are forced to work together to penetrate the Mexican underworld. Christian Bale is in negotiations to play Rawbone, although there is no guarantee that a deal will be finalized.
We reported in October that Leonardo DiCaprio was offered both the Rawbone and John Lourdes roles. It isn’t known if he is still in the mix to play the federal law man.
Todd Field is directing from his own screenplay, with Cross Creek Pictures’ Brian Oliver producing with Michael De Luca. Universal Pictures will distribute, with Cross Creek Pictures financing and producing. The filmmakers are eyeing an early 2013 production start.
The Creed of Violence comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Christian Bale. The film is directed by Todd Field.

The Dark Knight Rises Prologue Gets PG-13 Rating

Last month, Warner Bros. confirmed it will attach a six-minute prologue of The Dark Knight Rises to 70 MM IMAX prints of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocolstarting December 16. Today the MPAA announced it will give the prologue a PG-13 rating, for “some violence.”
The report from October also indicated the prologue will not screen on all IMAX digital screens, only 70 MM IMAX screens. Of course, this rating doesn’t automatically mean The Dark Knight Rises in its entirety will be rated PG-13. However, since Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were both PG-13, it seems incredibly likely thatThe Dark Knight Rises will be released with the PG-13 rating.
Christopher Nolan is directing The Dark Knight Rises, which is still shooting in New York City. Warner Bros. used the same tactic four years ago, when it attached a prologue of The Dark Knight to prints of I Am Legend in December 2007.
The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard,Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.
A Star Is Born Production Delayed for Beyonce Knowles Pregnancy

Beyoncé Knowles announced her pregnancy at tonight’s MTV VMA awards, and now it looks like Warner Bros. might delay production on Clint Eastwood’s musical remake of A Star Is Born past its original start date of February 2012 to allow the singer/actress time to recover, as well as give the project more time to find its male lead.
Numerous leading men have been rumored, includingWill Smith, Christian Bale, and Leonardo DiCaprio, but no one has been set, and Leonardo DiCaprio passed on the project.
A Star Is Born centers on an aging movie star who has an affair with a younger singer/actress whose stock is on the rise.
No official production date has been announced.
A Star Is Born comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Beyoncé Knowles. The film is directed byClint Eastwood.
